You and your guests can cruise one of the regularly scheduled cruise times available daily from early May to mid-October. The tour continues with a visit to the historic power house featuring the original equipment used to generate power that operated the lock in 1918, one of very few remaining on the Erie Canal. The land tour will then conclude with a short walk on the Canalway Trail to the original Erie Canal prism that is still visible. The Erie Canal Experience begins with passengers boarding a bus at Gems Along the Mohawk and traveling to Lock 18 in Jacksonburg for a guided land tour of the lock and the original/enlarged Erie Canal prism. The land tour would observe the operational components of Lock 18 with an overview regarding the various components of the Lock.

The captain was very informative narrating the cruise. The scenery was very peaceful and we even saw a bald eagle! The locks were interesting and fun to be in while we went to different levels of the river.
